   SPRING BY THE PACIFIC

   

   This design was inspired by a single ball of cheerful blue yarn, which, though warm and thick was just too bright and happy to be consigned to a heavy winter hat. The openness of the design is perfect for the brighter days of early spring, while still providing considerable warmth.

   The directions for this ocean- inspired spring hat are provided in both written and charted formats, to be used either independently or together to create the spiraling wave pattern. For your convenience, I have flipped the chart for right-handed crocheters so that it will match the written directions.
